When was your first doctor appointment

I found out I'm pregnant on Thanksgiving. I'm about 4 weeks i think. When did your doctors schedule your first doctor's appointment. Mines not until December 31st is that normal. I thought they would give me blood work to.confirm pregnancy but I guess not.

8-12 weeks is normal. I’ve never had/needed blood confirmation. They usually don’t need to see you any earlier unless you’re having issues, you’re high risk, or you have a history of miscarriages

I had my 1st appointment the very next week to confirm pregnancy when I called, I wasn’t even 5weeks yet

It was 8 weeks with my first and 10 weeks with my second. Most doctors are between 8-12 weeks. With both pregnancy’s I never got bloodwork to confirm

I went to my doctor and they had me do one of their urine tests a couple days after I found out and when it was positive they gave me the number with the obgyn and I went in for my first “baby” appointment at 5 weeks bc my last period before was very light and only lasted 2 days so they wanted to date the pregnancy in case I was further along than we thought.
