Sorry this is gross! For the last year or so, every time the week after my period ends, I get (what I'm guessing is) a yeast infection. Its always within the 3 days after my period ends, and lasts about a week. I itch, sometimes it burns to pee, NO wierd discharge, and I have a VERY strong smell down there. I've had STD tests done and all come back clean. I am getting very self conscious about it, especially the smell. I dont know how to describe the smell either, its not fishy, but I think it smells awful. Any ideas as to what is going on? I'm beginning to think its not yeast infections.

I have called the doctor but she always just gives me yeast infection meds and it comes back every month, doesn't check to see if anything else is wrong.

I plan on seeing if I can talk to another doctor soon but I cant afford my copay right now so its going to be a while.
