I am really leaning toward switching to a birth center after my 20 week anatomy scan. I will be 20 weeks the week of Christmas, so in January my deductible restarts anyway and the cost would be the same either way. What are some questions you asked your OB to find out if they were the right fit for you? I have seen this OB for a past miscarriage, but still haven’t seen her yet this pregnancy. I’m 17 weeks and have just seen her nurse and ultrasound tech. I want to have free movement during labor, be able to birth in whatever position that I want, I don’t want to even discuss induction until 41/42 weeks so long as we are both healthy, and just generally want as few interventions as possible. SO, those of you that have had an unmedicated birth in a hospital, do you wish you were at a birth center instead? Is it unrealistic to think I can do it in a hospital without a lot of pressure for interventions?
