pamprin or ibuprofen?

I’ve always used ibuprofen for my period cramp it has work fairly well for me. My boyfriend actually saw a commercial and bought me pamprin because of all of it claims.... bloating, help with water weight gain, irritability, and cramping while on your period. (Which are all the thing I complain about so he was trying to be thoughtful). Does it really work??
