Dr has different opinion on food...
So my husband just got back from the doctor for a weight check and he is FINALLY happy with her weight. She was big when born but dropped to the 5th percentile. But now she’s up to 16th percentile! Yay!
But they talked about solids and I’m struggling a bit...
He’s telling us to do solids before bottles. And that a significant amount of her nutrition should be coming from solids by 6 months.
Even the CDC and AAP say that bottles should come first and be main source of calories.
I’m not one to question doctors, but I feel like he’s wrong... thoughts?
I really like this doctor a lot but definitely disagree with him on food. He had previously told me that a 4oz bottle of breast milk at 2 months old was a “snack”.
