How?!

Question

I am in no way judging anyone. I'm just completely stumped.
I have seen so many posts of women having sex really soon after giving birth. 
How?!
After I had my son, I was petrified of having sex again. I waited about 10 weeks but it took months before it wasnt painful. 
My mind cannot comprehend the act of any sort of penetration that soon after a baby.
Does pp sex not hurt  for some women?

Especially when doctors specifically say not to have sex before you’re cleared at 6 weeks.
I wonder if a lot of their partners pressure them into having sex too soon.
Not sure why infection and complications are worth it to people.

I had to have 4 stitches after my daughter and can 100% say I had zero interest in being touched. We didn't have sex for almost 10 weeks after her even though I was cleared at my 6 week appointment. But I have friends who wanted to jump their partners the day they came home from the hospital. One of them had a c-section and the other vaginal but no stitches. I think it's all personal and dependant on what happens during labor/delivery.

I had sex after I was cleared at my six week checkup, but I would never have sex before that. The sex wasn't painful but I also have a very gentle partner who's main focus was on making me comfortable and relaxed.

I have no clue how. I always think it’s crazy. I waited 6 weeks with both of mine till I was cleared. With my first it was awful and felt like glass shards every time for 6 months. The second baby I had zero issues and it was totally fine from the first time at 6 weeks. So I would assume that it is different for everyone since I’ve had two very different experiences myself. But either way nothing should be going in there till you’re cleared by the doc as there’s a risk of infection.

Postpartum sex felt amazing for me and my partner. We both agreed it was better than before. Mind you we were also on the newborn, new parents high and we’re feeling more connected than ever. I had two stitches from my vaginal birth, but waited until my pp check up.

I had like 2 stitches and was completely healed by 6 weeks. My period returned the day of my 6 week appointment. We started trying for #2 after my period was done. Sex felt amazing!!

For my second I stopped bleeding at 2 weeks. At 4 weeks my midwife said it was okay to try. Go slow. Lots of lube etc. We did and it was great. 
Different story from my first. I waited 9 weeks and it was uncomfortable for like 4 months.

I think it depends on the woman. It wasn't ok for me until 7 weeks pp. 6 weeks, I was too tender. My aunt says she had no interest or desire (and she was afraid of it hurting) until 6 months or longer after each of her births (3 kids).
