Went in for my 8 week appointment today. We got pregnant in October after our second <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> (almost three years TTC). They did the ultrasound and found the baby, but no heartbeat. Said it was measuring around 6 weeks when I was a couple days shy of 8 weeks. I opted to take the medication tomorrow to clear out the pregnancy rather than waiting or doing D&C (the thought of having to go back to the doctor alone during COVID was not something I wanted to do).

The whole conversation with the NP was a bit of a blur. Because of COVID my husband wasn’t allowed to be there for the appointment. From what I gathered I should take a pregnancy test in two weeks to confirm it’s negative, then go through an entire normal cycle before trying <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> again.

Curious what others experiences have been? Particularly with IUIs after miscarriage? They couldn’t find anything ‘wrong’ with us regarding the infertility, it just wasn’t happening naturally.

I’m pretty devastated, but my coping mechanism is always to seek out info, so I’m hoping to hear some other points of view.
