How much money should you haves saved before having a baby?
I have 30,000$ but I’m not sure what’s enough to have In the bank

Depends on what kind of maternity/parental leave coverage you have. I get 80% of my wage for 6 months and just over $2000/month for 6 months after that. So for us that’s more than enough to be comfortable.

In the US things are different obviously. 
But here in the UK you don't really need any savings. Any medical bills are covered by NHS and everything you need for baby you can by little by little during the pregnancy. 9 months is a long time to get everything together. I have three kids and never had to save up before having them

I had $4,000 saved. 2/3 of my maternity leave was paid so I didn’t have to dip into it too much. 
We had money on our HSA to pay medical bills so that was separate. The hospital gave us a discount for paying the bill in full

We had $35k when our son was born. Spent half on a house and some on furniture. Still have a few thousand leftover. Barely used any for maternity leave (I didn’t have short term disability)

This really depends on so many factors, eg your living expenses, how much time you're taking off, how much your partner makes, if you're at risk of losing your job etc. $30k would last me quite awhile. Someone who is the sole earner living in Boston or Manhattan with a high mortgage, it won't last so long.

I had just enough to cover my bills when I was on maternity leave. It’s not necessarily how much you have saved, but how much extra you have to spend monthly. You could have $30,000 saved up but if you are only able to put aside like $50 a month, you probably can’t afford to have a kid.
