Did you stop breastfeeding before or after your little one turning 1?

Hi ladies! My son just turned 1 on Sunday, and we have been breastfeeding since birth. My original goal was to go to 6 months and stop but my MIL persuaded me to do it the full year. Now here we are and my little man acts like he NEEDS boob😩 will not drink regular milk at all. How did you guys transition?

Currently 12.5m and still breastfeeding. I will keep her on breastmilk until at least the covid calms down and past flu season.

Currently 13 months still breastfeeding but she drinks 3-4 oz of whole milk also.

We’re still going at 12.5 months. we nurse 4 times a day right now. Keep trying daily with a cup. I offer milk with meals in a weighted straw cup. It took a good couple weeks of trying for her to take much. You could try almond or oat milk since it might be a little sweater and like breastmilk.

Breastfed my first for 14 months and my babe just turned one December 1st (I stayed apart of this group cause I was due November 27th) and he's still breastfeeding! But I started giving him warm cows milk in a bottle and he LOVES it, too! I'm just slowly transitioning him!

Almost 14 months and still breastfeeding here, we got COVID and it helped him get over it so fast!! Definitely worth continuing until all this calms down (in my opinion) if possible 🥰

My first self-weaned at 21.5 months when I brought baby sister home. My daughter is almost 13 months and still EBF.
My son always had some breastmilk bottles, then breastmilk in sippys. We did baby led weaning for food with water in sippys. Add then we started giving cow milk with food? I know some people warm their cow milk but I don’t believe we ever needed to do that.
