Does the average 10 year old boy still play with toys

I know every kid is different but I’m getting a gift for my little cousin this year and dropping it off at their door. He’s 10 So I’m wondering anyone who has 10 year old boys what do they like? Like do they still play with toys/ army guys at that age?? Or do they feel too old for that? I have no idea. I know he liked army toys a few years ago and I keep seeing toys he might like but idk if those are things he would still like cause he’s older now. Any suggestions??

LEGO’s, nerf, balls, etc., are pretty good for a 10 year old. If he likes to read, that’s a good option too.

I would definitely suggest asking the parents, at the same token if you go to more most toy sections, online like on target or Walmart, you can usually put it by an age filter of what toys they would like at that age, you pick the gender, you pick the age, and it will pop up toys that they would probably like, most 10-year-olds like Nerf guns in if they’re into sports you can probably get them a basketball or soccer ball, if they are into zombies or dinosaurs or even some kids are coding at that age, every kid is different like you said, some kids are studious and like to read, some kids like slime, some kids are glued ￼to their video games. You could do some family game night games, like Jenga or Monopoly or maybe even a care package with popcorn and candy end snacks for your next movie night, but I would ask the parents what they recommend honestly because kids go through phases one minute they’re into one thing and the next minute it’s not cool anymore or there’s played out or they moved on to something else. Same thing with little girls they go from being into dolls to hair make up and fashion. Kids change all the time especially with the influence of their friends. My nieces are the perfect example of that my older niece is 13 and she still like a little girl into fairies and unicorns and everything her younger sister who is 12, she is polar opposite and into Hollister and fashion and make up polar opposites in sports. She’s very competitive, she’s kind of OCD and she likes to organize everything, she likes to put things together, but I will check with the parents that’s probably your best bet. ￼￼

Ask the parents to be sure but most kids that age love legos, regardless of gender. Board and card games are good too.

10-11 is that sticky age where they either think they’re “too old for toys” or are still really into them. A safe bet is a good pair of headphones or a lego set. Or a video game If you know he plays them, (ask his mom if he has the certain game before hand though). We got our 10 year old cousins a Batman drone and a switch game for Christmas this year.
