Anus pain ? Pregnant

Question

Kinda scared right now. I don’t know if anybody else experiences this but I’m 12 weeks today and I get sharp pains in my butt? This used to happen on my period too and only my period. So I’m confused why it’s happening now. I’m scared and I have a phone appt with dr tmr so I will bring it up. Just wanna know what you guys think?

I still get a lot of cramps that feel exactly like period pains. I spoke to someone about my anxiety and I was told this, which really helped me... your uterus is a muscle, and muscles only know how to do one thing: contract. So whether it’s period or pregnancy or anything else, it can all feel the same because your uterus is doing the same thing, reacting to the stimulus by contracting 😊

Could also be something called lightning crotch, I had it throughout my pregnancy with my first, since then I get it sometimes when I’m about to come on AF, it’s very common in pregnancy when I asked my doctor

A lot of the same pains and cramps you get while on your period are the same pains and cramps you can have in pregnancy. I always got sharp back pain in the very center of my lower back while on my period and I experienced the same pain while pregnant and during labor. Yours could be how your uterus is positioned and how it is putting pressure on a certain area or nerve. That is just a thought, but definitely worth discussing with your doctor.
