Tmi: Does it ever go back to normal?

Question

Will “down there” ever go back/look normal again or at least close to it? I’m only 5 weeks post partum so I shouldn’t be freaking out but I am!! If it does, how long does it take? 😭 Also scared to have sex because of what my boyfriend will think/feel.

It's called a vagina, and yes, it'll go back to normal.

mine never did looks like something shredded me doctor said the tissue will never go back and pelvic floor muscles are useless. Gave  brith 1 year ago

I had a bad 2nd degree tear so mine did not return to its pre baby state, but still "normal and perfect" according to my midwife. Hubs has never noticed a difference.

I was able to have sex ( it was a little uncomfortable at first) around 11 weeks and my vagina felt completely normal around 4-5 months postpartum ( it felt weird since I had a catheter)

I’m 6 months postpartum. It looked pretty much normal after 2.5-3 months and I had sex at 7 weeks PP and my SO couldn’t tell the difference

Vaginas are amazing! They shrink right back to normal! Sometimes it takes longer than others, don’t worry yourself it’ll go back sooner than you think🙂

I'm 7.5 weeks postpartum, everything seems normal.
