Should my family and I travel to the US? (California)

Hey everyone,
Need your advice. I'm an American living in Dubai. I am currently almost 5 months pregnant and have a 10 month old son. I haven't been back to the states for 7 years (financial/personal reasons) but I'm itching to go back to visit my family and my mom and sister who used to live here but moved back in September. I really miss them. However, due to the COVID situation, I'm not sure if it's wise. Regulations and rules here are quite strict and people follow rules (unlike most people in the US) so I do have a slight fear of catching COVID. Although I really want my family to see my son, most have not seen him and he'll almost be 1 year old. What do you guys think?

I thinks it’s best to stay where you are for now. Things were cooling down in California( where I am) but covid-19 infection rate has spiked and now that the holidays are around now it will def get worse.

Stay home your pregnant and have a baby. I would stay home and not come out until this was over.

Wait for the vaccine rollout. It’s looking positive for next year so if you’ve been able to wait 7 years then I would wait one more.

I wrestled with this decision too (American in France) and ultimately decided to wait until the end of summer to go back. Im also currently pregnant.
Why?  I havent been back in so long that id like to be able to eat out, meet up and visit with people in a more "normal" way but also with minimal risk to myself and my baby. Winter time is also flu season, and covid has not been properly handled recently there. It will continue to surge due to thanksgiving and christmas. 
If you can hold out a bit longer, i think itd be worth it both for safety and for making the most out of your trip.

Life is short. Covid has a very high survival rate. 
If you and your son are healthy then even if you do catch it, you will just be ill for a bit.
It’s important for your family to see your son and him to know them especially during a time when he’s had to stay in so much.

Covid is terrible here right now. I know it must be hard and you are missing your family but stay away. Vaccines are coming out there is a light at the end of this tunnel. Wait it out. Don't come to the U.S. right now.

Our governor just announced new restrictions for at least 21 days, it takes effect tomorrow. I would stay where you are. CA is a shitshow right now 🙃

Not sure about other states, but Oregon is asking that anyone who travels into, or out of and then back into Oregon, to self quarantine for 14 days. I don't know if it's actually being imposed, but I know it's being asked of people.
