iud and a condom or no?

Curious if other girls with an IUD use a condom with their partner! I’m on the fence about it. I just got an iud and we use condoms but he’s trying to get me not to use one because “it feels better”. Any thoughts?

No condoms no pull out and haven't gotten pregnant. I've had Mirena 2.5 years. I agree sex feels better without condoms. Do what you're comfortable with.

Nope.  When I got my first IUD the docs office told me to use condoms for the next 7 days ( as a precaution) my partner and I didn't and were fine. The first type I used was Kyleena. I switched to a copper one almost a year ago, no condoms and still fine. The IUD is one of the highest forms of birth control next to sterilization. If you're still nervous have him "pullout".

I don't because I'm comfortable with the over 99% effective rate and I know I don't have to worry about stds since we've only ever been with each other. It's ultimately up to you and your comfort zone

I don’t because it very effective and I trust my husband to not sleep with anybody else, but if you want to use them, then its not a big deal and you shouldn’t stop  just because he doesn’t want to.

We do not use a condom but I did get pregnant in August with my iud after getting it in on July 27th, 2020.

I've done both but if you want the extra safety then just use it.

I usually do a condom too, but sometimes we skip it! It is still possible to get pregnant with one and it can cause some problems! (Which I’m terrified of). I have one partner, but we just want to be very sure we’re being safe.
