I’m 13 and I started my period 4 months ago, I have been using the always infinity flex foam pads since I got it. Are these a good choice? Also can I use tampons. If so what brand do you suggest? Last question is it normal to miss a period the first year?

Always is a good brand. I like it because they stick so well to the underwear. I personally recommend the one with wings. I suggest u change every 3-4 hours and carry baby wipes to feel extra clean. I would also use a spray on the inside of your pants to avoid period smell. I personally think 13 is a bit young for tampons unless u participate in some type of recreational sports.

You can use tampons. Get the ones with an applicator, so much easier to learn with. Lay down when you are practicing with them. Took me a few times but once i got it I preferred them over pads. I now use a cup.

Hey hey! I like the always infinity pads! They’re pretty observant and not as leak prone as some other pads. If you’re going to start using tampons, I recommend starting by wearing them at home because they can be tricky to get into the right spot when you start off. I also highly recommend a diva cup! You have to get a little more comfortable with yourself, but they aren’t ever painful or uncomfortable like a tampon, they are reusable and cheaper because you can use the same one forever and you get to know what’s happening during your period better. And yes, it’s totally normal to miss some periods in your first year! Your body is still figuring out the whole egg-releasing thing, don’t panic! 😁
