Baby never just chills?

Question

Our 5 week old never just relaxes when she’s awake. She’s either eating, fussing to eat, grunting to poop or fart. Sometimes she’ll just look around, but it doesn’t last last. Our first was pretty fussy, but it was because of formula and it took some time to find the right one for her. I’m doing breastmilk only this time. Do your babies ever just calmly look around and relax when they’re awake or am I just making up that they do this?

My husband literally always tells our newborn “can you ever just chill” 🤣 he’s a big fussball. He’s only calm sleeping lmao

My first was very chilled out and never fussed, my second fussed alot, cried alot ect. My 3rd now she doesnt fuss at all, I'm still waiting to hear her cry😂😂. All babies are different, I use to lay my second child on his play mat in the kitchen with the oven extractor on just to get anything done cause he liked the noise x

Most of the time yes never chill. Once in awhile he just hangs out there

Mine didn't calmly look around until about 8 wks and even then it is only for like 15min

My daughter is slowly getting better I get maybe 10 minutes 3 times throughout the day of her just being okay. But since she was born she either would sleep, eat, or cry/fuss because she wasn’t eating or sleeping.

Yes my boy was like this, pretty much the second he starts fussing I put him to sleep. It seems to be a que for him. He'll have a short nap and wake up happy, then we  do it all again. Sometimes he's only awake for 30 min, feeding included.

The first 4 weeks where really hard for us. She was just always crying. 
Shes 7 weeks today and has slowly gotten better.
