So I became good friends with him last year, and start of the year he confessed he had a crush on me. Nothing really ever happened then because of the pandemic and we ended up having to do lockdown. And pretty sure he moved on because it was just a fleeting crush.

After lockdown was lifted (we're in NZ), I went on several dates and dated another guy for 4 months. We broke up because he was moving away and didn't want to do long distance.

I confided in him about the break up, and he suddenly asked me, "Would you slap me if I tried to kiss you now?"

I was so taken aback and just said "Oh no. Don't do that."

Not long after, I left. I still don't know how I proceed about this. I just felt like it was also a bad timing as I'm still heartbroken with the break up. Do I talk about it to him? What should I do?
