Emotional at songs?

So, the other day when my 19 month old Kaleb and I were playing songs and singing to them twinkle twinkle little star came on - he started sobbing, lip petted the lot and I just put it down to the fact he had a five minute nap and was over tired and redirected him to another toy after we had cuddles etc. 
Tonight not thinking we played with that toy and again twinkle twinkle little star came on and the same reaction (I quickly turned it off and consoled him) but I'm curious, is it possible for such a young child to feel emotional at slow songs? Or could it just be he really doesn't like it? I'm so confused at it. Otherwise he's such a happy little guy and really not much bothers him.

We listen to a lot of classical music and my son recently would start crying whenever anything with a cello came on.  Not sure what the deal is but he's not a fan right now.  His opinions of like and dislike are very apparent these days. Maybe give it a few days and try again. See if anything changes.

My daughter gets upset and cries too when it's a slow song. I think it's because when it's time for bed I sing slow songs to her. She likes them then. But if she's wide awake and doesn't want to sleep, I think she's thinking I'm trying to put her to sleep lol
