Where are the best places to start registries?

I live in a small town so all the places I register have to be online. I've started some at Walmart, Target and Amazon but I was advised to use up to ten places. I just can't think of any more!

Ten places?!? That's way too many imo. I would pick one or two places especially since Amazon sells everything.

Why on earth would someone tell you ten places.... I don't even shop for baby stuff at ten places now lol. 2 is plenty... 3 max. The more places you register at the harder exchanges and returns will be to on you. Plus then your guests have you look through way too many places to find if what they want to get you is on a list somewhere else.... Big hassle

We went with Target, we have one in town so that does help, but we live 1100 miles from all our family so we had to do an online one and Target seems to have to best value for the things we wanted

Target Amazon and BabiesRUs. No need to go for 10 places,  maybe add a book store.  You'll get so many duplicate products if you register at more than three shops

I did babylist which lets you add registries or items from anywhere. Or write in stuff like "hot meal." I love it so far.
