Did Cervidil Hurt You?

I’m being induced Thursday and the plan is to use Cervidil. When I looked it up to see what it was I started seeing how it hurt super bad! What were your experiences?😭 I’m a FTM

It was slightly uncomfortable going in but it definitely started my contractions and jump started labor! They took it out after 8 hours, gave me my epidural and broke my water. I’d do it again!

I got it twice last year ( they put one in then the next day another one) I remember it being kind of painful and quite uncomfortable, then again my doctor was unnecessarily rough so you might have better luck 🤞

Couldn’t feel it inside me at all!
Had it put in at 7pm, mild contractions started at 4am and it was taken out at 7am!

The most u uncomfortable part of it was my doctors large hands putting it in and taking it out 😅
Other than that I didn’t find it painful or anything. Once the contractions get rolling you won’t be thinking about the cervadil- just your sweet baby at the end.
In my case, the contractions were too intense and I wasn’t dialating fast enough so my son went into distress and I needed up with an emergency csection.

It jump started labor for me. After about 2 hours I was having strong consistent contractions from about 8 pm to 3:30 am before I caved and got the epidural. I didn’t get the epidural until 5:30 am. But there is a small percentage of woman that cervidil sends into active labor apparently lol. Just my luck ;) haha but then they took it out when I got the epidural (it stays in for 12 hours) and they started pitocin. With that and the epi to help relax my body, I progressed pretty fast after that. From the time cervidil was started til baby was born was almost 17 hours- it wasn’t as bad as it sounds lol. 
So yes- hurting because contractions aren’t fun. It does make your cervix and vaginal canal very sensitive, so getting checked before the epidural was the very painful.

It didn't bother me going in. I remember it hurting a bit when they took it out but it's all a blur to be honest.
