Boy moms help!

I don’t know if it’s just a boy thing or something else but my sons been playing in his poop since he was 8 months he still dose it off and on even though he’s 3 and slightly potty trained but yesterday he did it at his god moms house witch he’s never done before I’m so confused what can I do
