What was the cause of your c-section?

I have chronic hypertension. It can go up with about anything. I was told I will have to deliver no later than 38 weeks. I’m a little scared. I had an emergency c-section the first time and the recovery went actually well. But this time baby is being taken out earlier. I’m so anxious. What makes me more upset is that first I was told I could try for a VBAC but now I’m being told no. Ugh 🤦🏻‍♀️

My first was breech. I can try for VBAC this time if he isn’t breech. I’m sorry you were told you could and now they won’t let you, but try and keep on mind they are doing what is safest for you and baby. Planned is better than emergency.

When in to do a indeuce nothing work did the cervix softener did 2 doses of that then did pitocin that made my water to break still not dilateing not doing anything doctor said you can try this for another 18 hours or we can do a C section. I just really wanted to have my baby out.

My first was in fetal distress. The doctor recommended a c-section so baby didn’t have any more issues. I’ll be having a scheduled c-section in 5 weeks because I was not interested in transferring hospitals to attempt a VBAC. Also, the labor and pushing was not for me so another section is just fine for me.

My second kid was a planned c-section because she was breech and her head was in the 99th percentile. My doctor didn’t perform the c-section, but she told me when she read the weight (over 8lbs) and the size she said there was no way she would’ve come out vaginally. 😅

First was “failure to progress” after labouring for 2 days from induction & macrosomia. 
Second was due to being pregnant too close to the first. 
And third even though it’s 5+ years later the hospital made it clear they don’t support a natural birth option for me due to previous csections.

My first was due to a placental abruption. My second was supposed to be a vbac but when I went into labor baby’s heart rate dropped and an ultrasound showed there wasn’t enough fluid left in the sac to try a vbac. This one is an automatic repeat c section.

Android shaped pelvis and baby was sunny side up and refused to turn. I was stuck at 8.5cm for about 5 hrs. Doc tried so many ways to flip her, literally had both hands inside me to flip her or possibly bring her out but she refused. I didn’t dilate anymore and baby was so far down and stuck that we had a c-section within 30 mins. Came out perfectly fine and with a huge conehead 😂 back to normal within a few hrs. She tried really hard to get out.
