Am I ready for another baby?

How do you know when you're ready for baby #2? I had my baby girl 8 months ago. She had been a difficult baby. I always wanted my babies to be close in age, so I don't want to let too much time pass. Plus my cycles are super irregular, so i don't even know when I'm going to ovulate again.. Dad has mostly been home with her bc i work FT. He has not been taking it well. It seems to be getting a little better with her gaining more independence. How do I know when we're mentally ready to start trying again? Did you have a difficult baby 1? ♡thanks!

Your situation I would probably wait until the child at least 3 or potty trained . Had to take care of three under two.it was not easy the mom didn't want to take care of the kids neither did the father so when I say this I'm coming from somewhere that had to day in and day out take care of the three kids that were no space if they were spaced out it would have been a lot better for the parents and the children. Maybe even if the first two were potty trained it wouldn't have been as bad but none of them were potty trained. when you try training one you have to potty train three.think about it right now diapers are probably not cheap so if you add another baby into the situation in the other one's not potty trained yet that's double the diapers triple the diapers. That's why I said wait until it's potty trained maybe a good idea that way you're not trying to stumble over changing two diapers at the same time.

We just knew, we wanted to wait 3 years, but ended up waiting 2/2.5. With the difficulties I had with a newborn we decide to wait until our first was potty training age (she is now thank goodness), and she can help herself and us. I can already tell it’s going to be such a blessing not having two under two.

So I waited just over 2 year to try for number 2, this was mainly because I knew I would get bad morning sickness (every day for 9 months) my 1st baby was actually a really good baby but I wanted her independent and to play by herself, potty trained ect. Ive just had my second baby who is the complete opposite and very difficult so i’m definitely glad of the age gap. Just shy or 3 years. I still feel they are close in age, she is old enough to understand to be gentle and help out, definitely the perfect age gap for us.
