Mascara tips ?

Question

Any tips on applying mascara ? I don’t wear makeup often so I barely put it on, but when I do it clumps my lashes together so they’re not spread out and even and it just looks dumb, and the more you put on, then your lashes look like spider legs and I hate that 
I do the brush side to side wiggle thing but other than that i don’t really know what else to do

use a lighter mascara and/or go through it with a clean lash brush (usually u can get them from beauty stores but w covid i'd imagine that's not an option. i'd see about bulk buys on amazon). also don't be shy w wiping off the product from the wand. better to build it up than to have it be too heavy

Some brands are worse than others for clumping, etc. I use the cover girl lash blast and it find it does a good job with seperation. I sometimes close my eyes lightly over my fingertip or run a q-tip over my lashes to catch a couple clumps and/or seperate further.

This lash primer is amazing. I put it on first before mascara and it always separates my lashes and it keeps my mascara on longer

And I use a lash comb. After I finish with my mascara, and let it dry, I use this comb to separate my lashes gently.

Look up so you are peering down your nose. Sometimes you need to wipe the brush off on the edge of the mascara thingy and that prevents clumps. Smooth, single strokes with multiple layers
