Should I feed more on my over producing side??
Hi all!
I got my 5 week old back to my breast this week (yay) - I was exclusive pumping for like three weeks because my first week of BF was hell!
My right boob has consistently produced more milk than my left. (Almost twice as much). I just did block feeding for over 24 hours and I’m still engorged on my right- it is not evening out, but my left is producing more than it was so that’s nice. I pumped earlier for like 5 mins just to relieve some engorgement, not to empty, and it helped a bit. I’m engorged again already. Should I feed him more on the over supply side? I do not understand how I can relieve the engorgement without telling the boob to make more milk. Or does that side make more milk on purpose? Do I wait it out- will it subside??? Thank you
