Freshish vs Freeze?

Question

I have been EBF and will be switching to pumping during work. I have a 3 day supply in my freezer already from previous pumping sessions in preparation for work. Do you use the fresh milk (refrigerated) from the day before for your baby or thaw milk the day before and freeze the fresh stuff?

I did the oldest frozen milk first especially when I was just using the fridge freezer. 
When we finally got a deep freeze I changed. Similar to what another commenter said. Monday was almost all frozen unless I pumped extra over the weekend (it wasn’t a priority for me) and then Tuesday through Friday I used what I pumped the day before. On Friday I froze any that was left over.

So something I’ve seen a lot moms do is monday baby gets the oldest freezer milk   Pumps Monday-Thursday are the next days milk and fridays pumps go to the freezer

I send the oldest freezer milk to daycare and then freeze what I’m pumping at work and nurse when home with her. So she eats about 12oz of milk from August, I freeze about 20 oz from pumping, and she nurses four times a day.

You should use the freshest milk as that will contain what your baby needs now as it changes over time (including antibodies to anything you may have been exposed to).
