My son was born at 36 weeks on November 22, 2020 so he is 3 weeks old. He had intrauterine growth restriction so he was only 4lbs 9oz at birth. A late preterm infant. Latching has been a whole thing and not really working. Tried nipple shield and he is not going for it so I’m pumping every 2-3 hours and only getting MAYBE 2oz total every time. I’m pumping and giving it straight to him. At night he gets at least 1 formula bottle so I can get a little bit of sleep. I’m currently taking goats rue. I have a bowl of oatmeal every day for breakfast. All I drink is water and Gatorade. I wish my supply would go up because this is so hard !!! The same thing happened with my daughter 9 years ago. She was IUGR, 5lbs and hated the nipple. I only lasted 4 months with her because I wasn’t producing. Ughhh I feel like giving up. I’m attached to a machine every 2 hours and feel like I’m missing bonding with my son 😭😭😭😭😭
