Crazy hair color..should i get a wig to try before i dye ?

I wanna dye my hair either forest green or lavender. 
I have dark hair already.
But I wanna know what id look like with either of these colors because ive never done a out there color before. 
Ive tried apps on my phone but they dont do much. 
Should i get a wig to try it or is that to much ?

Honestly get the wig and just use the wig. Green is extremely hard to get out, bleaching your hair causes damage, and lavender needs such a light blonde- almost white- that you will definitely damage your hair even with a professionals help.

If you wanna buy a wig and dye to see then do it. Or you could just buy a wig and use that instead if dying your hair. I've done that before. Especially bc I have dark dark brown hair almost black and it takes so much to dye my hair light I have to bleach it a lot and then it usually fries my hair. Its a long process.
