40 weeks

I’m 40 weeks and still haven’t gone into labor. My next appointment isn’t until Thursday but the situation is my husband is on active orders 2 hours away from home so I’m home alone so he’ll have to meet me at the hospital and just go into emergency leave. Our parents live in different states and so I tried explaining that to my doctor but they told me not to come in unless my water breaks or my contractions get 5-8 minutes apart. My mom told me that I could drive myself once they get about 12-15 minutes apart but I’m scared they’ll just send me home and not admit me. Should I just call and address my concerns with them once again and see what they say or just go ahead and go in once my contractions get so far apart?
