Baby Dry skin or eczema?

My son had baby acne for 2 wks. It starting to go away but now I’m noticing this red rash on the side of his face that looks like some of the skin pigment has come off. His skin is really dry on the face and feels really rough. Even around his ear it appears to be peeling. I’ve tried coconut oil, Aveeno lotion, Aquaphor ointment and baby Vaseline. Nun seem to hold moisture on his face. It’s like it absorbs instantly or within a few mins. Any suggestions on what this could be or other products I can use

What baby wash do you use also detergent? For wash I recommend eucerin baby wash and not bathing too
Often. Also eucerin eczema creme. Try to stay away from lotions as they usually
Dry. I have eczema and so does my son. I’ve tried a &d ointment and that really helped too.

It could possibly be cradle cap on his face. It happened to my son. If your breastfeeding express some milk and put it on his face it will clear it up!

My baby skin was doing the exact same thing. It’s cradle cap. It could also be on his scalp. Don’t put anything on it. Just clean his face with mild soap, and put breast milk on it. It’ll clear up on its own. Also if it’s on his scalp you can use cradle cap shampoo.
