HSG ?

Question

I’m scheduled to have a HSG done Monday morning? Have anyone had one of these ? Should I be concerned & does it hurt?

I had an HSG done and it was very painful because both of my tubes were blocked by mucus. It was definitely worth it though because I finally found out why I wasn’t getting pregnant. After the HSG, I had to have surgery to unblock my tubes and I got pregnant 2 weeks later. Good luck!!

I had an HSG done and my tubes were not blocked. I took ibprophen beforehand and found it very painful. Normally I can tolerate pain, but when they pushed the dye through it was more than uncomfortable. The good thing was it only lasted for the procedure, which was about 5 minutes. Most people don’t find it painful, so not sure why mine was.

I had one in September and it hurted like hell because my tube was blocked. So when they pushed the dye through to unblock it the pain was 5 times worst than cramps. I was literally screaming shit, shit, shit lol trying to get through it. But I also have bad anxiety so that could of made it feel a little worse than it was. And I got pregnant the following month but had a miscarriage 🥺💔. Good luck

The only part I found to be uncomfortable was when they did the balloon part. You might want to take an Ibuprofen before, or have you Dr prescribe a low dose muscle relaxer (which I did cuz I was anxious).  Some women find the HSG to be helpful in aiding conception though because it clears out any “debris” you might have!

I just had one last month. It is not bad AT ALL. No worse than a pap-smear. You don’t feel a thing. It’s a very quick procedure as well.

Update: I’m currently 6 weeks & 5 daysss ❤️ so the HSG definitely worked.
