Rolling over?

Question

Are your babies doing yet? My girl hates tummy time. She has bad reflux and I think being on her stomach is just uncomfortable so how the heck is she supposed to learn to roll over if she won’t do tummy time for more than 2 or 3 mins?!

Frequency over duration! Do it as often as possible, even if it’s just a minute. Try doing it after every diaper change and before every feeding, rather than after. Also try doing it with her laying on ur shins at an incline facing you! This will help her be more upright and hopefully less uncomfortable. She will get there eventually

My baby girl thinks tummy time is bed time and screams murder if I put her to sleep on her back. But start tummy time by doing skin on skin contact, my cousin had to do it like that with her son and gradually half to lower herself as time went by. He wash a terror for tummy time screamed murder every time we tried to put him on his tummy.

Not yet, he’s angled himself a few times like he is going to roll over but he’s not always a fan of tummy time unless its on me or our bed

I always started doing tummy time for both my kids on my chest, just lean back but not all the way. When they like that then do tummy time on the floor and even get down with them so they see you doing it. Don’t do it after feeding tho as they could throw it up from the pressure on their belly’s. My older one loved tummy time and so do my baby

My daughter had been rolling tummy to back since 1 week. She does it for about 10 seconds then just rolls over. Shes also always been good with holding her head up. My first on the other hand hated tummy time and cried everytime. But just keep doing it even for a few mins it will get better!

My LO is 15 weeks and can roll (sometimes... on accident) from his tummy to back. He does not tolerate tummy time very well but has been seeing a physical therapist for some neck muscle issues — she has a lot of success using the Boppy pillow to prop him up and aid him in tummy time. She puts the Boppy under his arms and it helps relieve some of the hard work on his part!

My girl has rolled over twice, she hates tummy time a lot and I think she gets fed up and rolls herself lol but my son in the other hand.. when he was younger he took forever to roll over and he had way more tummy time than my daughter does! Babies all learn at different rates. Just keep doing the tummy time and it’ll eventually happen! You can also teach the to roll, by kinda tucking in there arm and gently rolling them. That’s how I taught my son when he was younger.
