White coating inside my vagina/hymen?

Hello! So I have this white stuff around the opening of my vagina. At first I thought it was just some really white discharge but it won’t come off very easily. I'm 16 and I’ve never realized I had it until about a year ago. I'm a virgin so it can't be an STD or anything else. I’ve went to a gynecologist for a check-up but she highly advised me against it since she said that it would most likely hurt getting it checked since I’m still a virgin. I’ve been having an irregular period throughout my whole life as well. I’m so sorry for the TMI but I really don’t know what to do since it makes me really insecure and scared. It would mean so much to me if anyone could tell me what it is, or if there is any way I can get it fixed? Thank you!
