Christmas presents?

How much did you get your 17 month old for Christmas? I felt like I didn't get my son enough but at the same time he's still so young I feel like I don't need to get him a whole lot this year? What are your guys opinions?

Examine why you feel like you didn’t get your baby enough. What is going to happen if you don’t get anything else? What are you comparing it to? Who’s going to judge you? Will your baby mind? Is the little one healthy happy and protected? 
Get gifts when it comes from desire and excitement. Not by a fear or not doing enough 💖 it’s all preference. 1 toy is enough so is 10 toys + clothes.

Eh I try not to go overboard because our kids get so much from family

Please remember that your kid is not gonna remember anything the first several years of their life. I’m 42 myself and I can’t remember anything really before I was seven or eight. You don’t have to go overboard with birthday parties and Christmas to the point that you are struggling with your bills. I am fairy godmother to several families. Their kids had a very rough year. So I made sure that they got taken care of. My nieces got all of their gift shipped out, my nephew and the sister that he had with the man that she cheated on my brother with, I got them so much that she doesn’t have to shop at all. And my best friends kids as well. I think I purchased the Disney store in all honesty and target. Children’s Place., Carter’s etc. My job is to make their life better and easier on them. So I went overboard this year big time. But everyone’s had a shitty year this year so I tried to make up for it. The kid doesn’t know the difference between one gift under the tree or no tree at all and 50 gifts. It’s not what the quantity it’s the quality of the time we spent together it’s the memories that you create it’s definitely the quality time you spend together in the fun things that you do. The baby is young and won’t remember anyway so it doesn’t really matter you don’t have to make a big deal out of babies first Christmas. I don’t post anything on Facebook or Instagram or anything my life is my business I don’t put things out there so I can ask for approval or validation etc. I don’t need it. Their acceptance doesn’t make my life any different or better. I’m not gonna die if I don’t get a certain number of likes on a photo if you get what I mean. You enjoy your holiday whatever you got your kid I’m sure your kid will like, at this point anything any color pretty much tinfoil anything will make your kids smile. Anything that makes noise and is colorful they wouldn’t know the difference. Sometimes you spend $50 on a gift and they would rather play with the box.￼ have fun and enjoy your holiday.

I got our almost 2 year old a sweater, an outfit, and a colouring book... he doesn’t need any more toys and I know my parents have already got him a couple things. Honestly I feel like you could get little ones just about anything and they’ll be happy to have a package to open.

We just set a budget and go from there. Each of my kids got 4 gifts. Honestly they get so much from family we don’t ever go overboard. My kids are 23 months and 6 months. I think we spent about $150 on both this year. At that age he won’t even remember what you go him.

We spend about £200-300 every year no matter how old our kids our but that’s just us. We’ve spend about £350 on each this year but our eldest has had a hard year and been amazing and our youngest just because tbh lol
