Mirena IUD Symptoms

I know everyone is different, but I'm curious. For those of you who have had the Mirena IUD (or similar), how long after insertion did you bleed (or spot) and have cramps? I'm at 2 weeks past insertion and still bleeding and cramping daily. My doctor said it can last 3-4 months but I'm curious what your experience was. What a drag, I didn't realize it would take so long to get used to!
