Does Claire Mary make you think of the magazine?

Question

I’m set on Mary as a middle name. It was my Great Aunt’s name and she and I were very close. I actually wanted to use it as the first name but my SO doesn’t like it. 
Claire is the only name my SO has liked at all for our little girl.
BUT Claire Mary makes me think of the women’s magazine Marie Claire. Am I crazy?

I mean maybe a little? But I don’t know. My friend growing up was Claire Marie and she loved that her name was so close to the magazine name. (Marie was her mother’s name so it wasn’t intentional). If you like the name I don’t think it’s a problem.

Claire Marie was one my top choices before my daughter was born. The magazine thing is what held me back 😂 we went with Anna instead of Claire, although I still love it.

Continue with your great aunts legacy!!!! When I have kids I’m going to give them my grandma’s first name as their middle name for the girls because of how much my grandma means and meant to me.  I was super close to her and she sadly passed away on my graduation day in 2019. 😔😢

It did make me think of the magazine but does that matter? You'll rarely say her middle name unless you are using a - to join the names, I reckon go for it if you like it, it's pretty 👍

It was my first thought but only because I don’t know any Claire’s. You probably won’t call her Claire Mary very often and will very quickly only associate it with your beautiful awesome little girl.  I love both names together! Good luck!
