Potty Training?

Question

Has anybody started potty training yet? I know it’s still pretty early to really potty train, but my pediatrician recommended we introduce the potty because he goes off by himself to poop and will tell me he’s pooped. I haven’t introduced it yet but I am thinking of trying after Christmas.
Anybody else starting this?

We got a little seat insert three days ago and started offering the opportunity to use it, and my son pooped on the toilet 3 times yesterday! We're not really training or following a program, just providing opportunities since our son loves copying us and learning new things.
Hoping it keeps going so well with him!

When we change him we ask if he needs to potty he runs to the bathroom sometimes he goes sometimes he doesn’t

I take my daughter when I go and put her on her little potty. I started putting her on when I caught er her pooping around 10 months and started doing it when I could catch her. Now she started holding it through naps and did over night the first time 2 nights ago so I put her on when she got up and she peed right away. I use pull ups during the day too and call them underwear and tell her to donut like I do and she is starting to pull them down to sit. She also will get a diaper or tell you poop as soon as she does it.

We have a little potty downstairs and my girl will go sit on it while I pee. She’s all proud of herself for sitting there. I tell her to listen for the pee pee and she’s all 😮 when she hears it. 🤣🤣 It’s how my mom taught us. Monkey see monkey do. 
But I also plan to follow the Oh Crap Potty Training book.

Yes! My daughter has been using the potty often for a few months, and her diapers has started to be a lot lighter in the mornings, and she tells me when she is pooping. So I will be starting potty training for real here soon. I’m expecting baby #2 in 3 months so I want to get her potty trained before new baby is here! I don’t think it’s too early, I think it’s the best time to start!
