On January 8, 2019 at 8 weeks I had a cornual ectopic pregnancy. My tube detached from my uterus and I lost 3L of blood internally. I lost my tube but recovered fully. Only having access to one ovary I ovulate every other month. My husband and I TTC for 18 months after our tubal with no luck. We finally gave up and stopped trying. My cycles were irregular at 38-42 days so I figured getting on BC would regulate them and isolate my ovulation better. I received my first round of birth control in the mail a few days ago. I waited to take it until the first day of my period but I was late. Nothing new because of how irregular my cycles are. I gave it a few days and still nothing. We had negative test after negative test so I just knew I was not pregnant. I took a test just to ease the thought of starting my BC before getting my period. The test came back positive. To put this in perspective: the cycle with my ectopic started on Nov 12, 2019 and I was due August 22, 2020. This baby, my cycle started Nov 13, 2020 and I am due August 23, 2021. Despite having irregular cycles and one tube I conceived exactly 2 years apart. OB appointment Tuesday to confirm correct implantation. ❤️❤️🤞🏼🤞🏼
