CD40, BFN

Just looking for some insights/whatever- I’m on CD40 and I’m 10 days late. I took a test yesterday and it was negative. I’ve always been fairly regular, never randomly missed a period or been this late. I’ve felt a little off the last few days- not much of an appetite, some leg cramps, gas. Not necessarily anything that screams pregnancy symptoms (although I didn’t have many symptoms at all with my daughter) but I also don’t feel like I do before my period either. I’m trying to manage my expectations/not get my hopes up too much. How long would you wait to retest? I read about the hook effect- is there an at home test that would be less likely to give a false negative because of high hcg? I have a previously scheduled gyn appointment at the end of January but I don’t know if I can get in any sooner.
