My bleach didnt go as planned... help!

So I shaved my head back in July and it felt liberating. I’ve been wanting to dye it with a dark teal or purple so the color looks like natural highlights not in your face. I tried this with a dark purple a couple times but my hair was so dark already it just turned my scalp purple.

With the long holiday weekend I asked my friend (male who has bleached his shirt hair before) to do it with me so I didn’t damage my hair cause it’s so short.

Do I have to rebleach my hair? What should I do to get the color I want! Someone please help me!
