I asked him why he cheated....

My husband recently came clean to me about cheating with someone a few days ago. I know we have been fighting a lot lately and haven't been the best. I had cheated a couple years back so I wondered if it had to do with that. I asked why he cheated and what I did and he said "You didn't do anything, it was something I chose to do." What dies that even mean? I've been asking for a reason why over and over, but I just get the same answer. Can are marriage be saved?😢
