Car seat coat!?

Anyone have a warm coat that passes the car seat test?

Absolutely no coats in a car seat. Dress them normally and just put blankets over them when they are in the car.

Fleece jackets pass the car seat test. They are thin but warm. You can also get a car seat poncho that goes over the car seat

We live in Buffalo where it’s freezing most of the year and we use this instead of a coat when they’re little little!

Buckle me baby coat. I haven’t tried them but have seen them on line. I’m not sure how old your little one is but maybe something to look in to

You can use a fleece jacket that isn’t too large and throw a blanket over them too and from the car. Or a fleece poncho that you can lift up to put them in the car seat

But definitely a car seat poncho. Underneath a fleece jacket that isn’t thicker than a Columbia fleece.

I just put my baby in the car seat without the coat on, buckle them in, and then put the coat back on backwards (put their arms in the holes￼and tuck it in around them).

When baby was in the bucket seat I used a car seat cover (one that goes over the whole seat). Once baby was in the convertible seat, I put a sweater with a hood on her and I put a car seat poncho over that. I leave baby in the sweater and take the pinch off once she is in the car seat. She is only 1 and doesn’t like riding with the poncho on, it is supposed to drape over her and the car seat like a blanket with a hood

I use a poncho for my 2 year old & just put warm clothes underneath it, usually a sweatshirt.  I definitely reccomended looking into them! And as a bonus you can typically use them for multiple years !
