Taken for granted?

If someone says “we have our whole lives together” as an excuse to not spend any quality time together, is that not taking your partner for granted?

My fiancé only wants to play video games. When he’s not working, he wants to play. He will help around the house some and with our son, but we never spend any time together. He plays from the time he gets home from work until we go to bed, we have opposite work schedules & I work allllll weekend (10am-9pm fri-sun). I get two days off a week. And on one of those two days I asked him not to play his game because I feel like I haven’t seen him in weeks. He said “we’re together everyday” but won’t acknowledge the difference between living like roommates who never speak and actually spending time together. But that’s always his excuse, “we have the rest of our lives together”..... but if it’s the rest of our lives exactly like now, then we’re barley together. He couldn’t even not play on Christmas Day. 😞
