Is Gerber insurance plan worth it?

I was thinking about Gerber insurance plans for my 2 kids and wanted to know if anyone here has had it and what they thought of it

My parents took out a policy for both our kids and listed my husband and I as beneficiaries. Their financial advisor told them as far as child life insurance policies go, Gerber is a good one. My parents wants it to cover funeral expenses should something horrific happened. We’re not planning to cash out some big payout years later. Just want to be able to not worry about financial hardship if it were to be needed.

I’m not familiar with the gerber plan, but we did a Thrivent whole life plan for our LO when he was born. Both my husband’s & my parents did the same when we were born & we still have them. Gifting your child whole life insurance as an infant can be really awesome, but some plans are definitely better than others.

Get a term life insurance policy with a child rider. My policy gives my kids 5x the amount of coverage guaranteed as adults. So I'll convert the $20k rider to $100k policy for them at age 25.
