Money question

Can someone please help? I paid for a hotel for my sister in law and they charged me an extra $135 for “damages” that never happened.. the lady told me she never actually looked at the damages she just went by the word of what the hotel keeper told her. They told me the desk was damaged and broke because it was mounted into the wall and the screws were missing.. when she actually went looked after i asked to see the desk myself (bc they said they didn’t damage anything) she said “oh well I didn’t look myself we will just reimburse you the money and charge you $20 for the screws” which they told me the screws were “missing” anywho when they took the extra money my account overdrew in the negative bc I transfer all of my money into my savings account to avoid Netflix etc from just taking out money whenever when I actually need it. So I just transfer when I need to pay bills etc. well they told me they would reimburse me my acc is still in the negative I never transferred the money to be taken.. when they do the reimbursement will the negative just be taken off? How does that work?
