Hoping to adopt!

Nicole & Kathryn

About Us:

We met through mutual friends and quickly fell in love with each others infectious smiles and sincerity. We’ve been married seven years and are so excited to be starting our adoption journey. Nicole has two beautiful girls from previous relationships: Valerie is now an independent twenty-five year-old, and Chloe is twelve and lives with us full-time. We’re excited to grow our family with a child of our own. Nicole works as the Director of Operations for a healthcare credentialing company; she is outgoing, kind, selfless, and compassionate. Kathryn works as an Event Manager at a private University in Southern California; she is creative, organized, genuine, and fun-loving. We both work full-time with extremely flexible schedules, which allow us to spend a significant amount of time with our family. We love Disneyland and can’t wait to be able to share in these adventures with your child.

What Led Us to Adoption:

We have always dreamt of having a child together and have wanted to grow our family for some time now. We have been blessed with many family members and friends who have adopted in the past, which has only amplified our desire to become moms. Adoption has touched our hearts and our lives immensely, and we are so eager to experience its joys first-hand. Seeing the miracle of adoption play out right before our eyes has solidified our choice to walk this path. We’ve learned that adoption comes with a lot of potential challenges and obstacles, but we are confident in our ability to be flexible, compassionate, optimistic, and loving along the way.

Our Home and Pets:

We bought our house five years ago and have enjoyed making it into a home. We live in a small city in Southern California that has a fantastic school district. We live at the end of a cul-de-sac with friendly neighbors. Our favorite home feature is our backyard fire pit, where we roast s’mores and spend time with family and friends. Chloe’s excited to become a big sister and share her love with a brother or sister. We have a two young puppies, a Golden Retriever and a German Shepard-Husky mix, who are both friendly and love children. We’re thrilled at the thought of being able to take your child on evening walks to the local park to play with the Chloe and the puppies.

Our Extended Family:

We are very close to our immediate family: parents, sister, brother-in-law, and four-year-old niece. We speak daily and see each other at least twice a week, as we all live within a few miles of each other. We regularly keep in close touch and visit our many grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We love having “family game nights” and family dinners at our home. We have large family gatherings every year on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and milestone birthdays or anniversaries. Our most recent get-together was in celebration of our grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary!

One of our favorite family traditions is decorating our grandmother’s Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. We have dreamt about including your child in this tradition. We also enjoy taking family vacations (cruises, beach camping, summer getaways to mountain cabins, theme parks), and participating in the “Donate Life Run/Walk” every year. We enjoy taking family trips together, watching movies, and going to Disneyland. We also have a tight-knit group of close friends that we consider part of our family and daily lives.

Letter to the Expectant Mother:

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We understand that this is a confusing and challenging time for you while you determine the best option for you and your baby. Our hope is that you feel loved and supported.

Entrusting another couple to raise your baby requires an exponential amount of bravery, strength, and love. We will never be able to fully understand how difficult this decision is for you, or how you are feeling throughout this process, but we are grateful that you love your unborn child so much that you’re willing to consider an adoption plan.

If you choose us for your adoption plan, we want to assure you that we will respect you and the level of contact you wish to have with your child. We promise to love your baby with all of our hearts, and to provide a happy, healthy, and safe home for him or her. We could not be more grateful for the opportunity to get to know you and welcome you and your baby into an entire family and support system of open and loving arms. Please know, no matter what you choose, we wish you and your child all the best.
