Genital preference [article info at the bottom]

So I stumbled across an article saying that genital preference is transphobic and bio-essentialism, and how having a preference over that sort of thing is dehumanizing and unhealthy. I was completely taken back by this article and was left scratching my head. Am I going insane here or is this person raising valid points that I'm just not seeing? People can't control what kinds of bodies they are attracted to and that's literally the point of having a sexuality, otherwise everyone on this earth would just be pansexual. Any ideas or comments or feelings on this?
