Constipation before labour? Possible TMI.

I was waiting to see if this got better. Tried seeing online if anyone else had this issue but no articles.

I’ve been struggling to have a bowel movement. Even with prescribed laxatives/stool softeners nothing will come out...

Everytime I try all I feel is the horrible pressure of the babies head in the way. I am 38 weeks now and didn’t want to be backed up for labour. I had issues with my last two bowel movements being excruciating painful but was checked at my last appt and no hemorrhoids.

I have tried so many things. I am at my wits end. Tons of water, the prescribed laxative and softeners, spicy food, a strong cup of coffee. The list goes on.. and nothing. I am very used to constipation issues but never like this. None of my usual tricks are working and the pressure from the baby is awful.

Can they be that low that they cause you to not go to the bathroom at all?? I’m starting to get worried.
