Feed time question

So I had a bottle with about 4 oz in it, and my LO (3 weeks old) drank about 3 oz. My question is that my husband picked her up while she was sleeping and gave her the bottle and she drank it but didn’t wake up... and is now still sleeping. Should we have woken her? Is this fine? he even tried to burp her (she normally doesn’t burp unless there’s a ton of air) and she didn’t burp but when he laid her back down she passed gas (lol). Just wanting to make sure that’s fine and we didn’t need to do something additional.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Sounds like a dream feed. Just keep in mind with breast milk baby only need 1-1.5oz for each hour and should be pace fed.

Ooohh that’s super insightful. Okay yeah I’ll try this with her next feeding! Thank you (:

Pace feeding involves allowing baby to latch to the bottle rather than pushing it in their mouth, using the slowest flow nipple, having baby fed sitting more upright with the bottle parallel to the floor. It’s about allowing baby to pace their meal and eat only until they’re full rather than having a bottle dripping into their mouth until it’s gone.

Sounds great! Just may not need that much milk in a feed but good job Mama, teamwork from you and hubby.
