So I was chilling with at a club with a friend and honestly club isn't even a good word because this place barely had anyone, but that makes social distancing easier. So my friend felt sick and went to the bathroom. Some guy walks up to me and he is clearly intoxicated. I honestly thought this guy was like 18 and underage drinking because he looked so young, but he handed the bartender his ID for another drink. He starts kind of trying to flirt with me but I don't show much interests. Then he starts crying and talking about how his girlfriend cheated on him. I was like "I'm sorry." It was awkward, but I just sat there and let him vent. He talked about how he caught her in bed with his best friend and he was planning on proposing. I stayed and listened and ordered him some water. His phone starts ringing and I guess its her and he asks if he should answer it. I gave him my honest opinion. That talking to her while he's drunk probably isn't the best idea. I told him to wait until he's sober. I then ordered him a coffee. So he cried for a good minute and then calmed down and then started talking about how they met and then the cheating. I didn't have anything better to do. My friend had texted me saying she was going home because she had food poisoning. She texted me after she already left so that was a bit annoying. Eventually me and this drunk guy started talking about other stuff besides his girlfriend and he told me I was really nice and he appreciates me for listening. He said he was gonna walk home now. I said "You WALKED here?" He goes yeah. He had sobered up a little bit but honestly this dude was probably gonna get robbed so I just called him an lyft. I went out expecting to spend time with my friend and ended up listening to a drunk guy talk about his cheating girlfriend lmao. Well hopefully he's smart enough not to go back.
